Black Paradise performs a mix of original and contemporary covers at local events and functions.

Black Paradise is a local Thursday Island based 5 piece Island Reggae band. The group is Lead by Singer Songwriter Nasona Pedro with Twin brother Thomas Pedro on Drums, Milton Savage on lead Guitar, Steven Sailor on Base. Original backing vocals by Maria Passi and now Patty Nakata on backing vocals with Deb Sisson on Keyboard.

This passionate group of performers have enjoyed coming together over the past 3 years to promote and present Torres Strait culture and lifestyle through music and song.

Based primarily on Thursday Island in the Torres Strait, the band travel and tour Australia-wide.

The Torres Strait is a cluster of Islands in Tropical North Queensland and home to both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
